Chelsea seem to be looking at a number of different strikers to come in when the transfer window reopens. Blues boss Frank Lampard could well lose two of his current options up top.
Michy Batshuayi has hardly played and may ask to leave, whilst Olivier Giroud’s contract at the club runs out this June.
Tammy Abraham is the clubs top goalscorer, but he has often looked burnt out at times this season, so bringing in some better competition is wise.
One deal is being reported by Tuttosport (as cited by Calciomercato) that looks to be very complicated, but stranger things have happened.
They suggest that Chelsea have set their sights on Poland international striker currently playing for Napoli, Arkadiusz Milik.
The 26-year old could become part of a swap deal with Chelsea involving their former winger Jeremie Boga. Here is where it gets complicated. Boga is a Sassuolo player, but Chelsea have an option to buy him back for £12.8 million (as per The Daily Mail).
Boga is wanted by Napoli. So Chelsea would need to buy him back using their clause, then sell him to Napoli. This would only work of course, if the player wanted the move as well.
