Chelsea set to agree deal for creative French play-marker valued at around £44.5m

The Blues have been continuously linked with a move for Lyon star playe Houssem Aouar in the past months, and Lyon have been reportedly open for offer for their playmaker, as they made a demand of £44.5m from Chelsea to land the signature of the France international.

The French international has been heavily linked with Premier League rival Liverpool, but the Merseyside Reds are yet to me a move to lure the 21 years old out o the Ligue 1 outfits.

Manchester City have also been credited with an interest to secure the services of the 21 years old in summer, but they were turned down by the Ligue 1 outfits, as they were able to convince the playmaker in penning down a year deal extension with them.

However, Chelsea look ready to sign the youngster some months back before the coronavirus, of which they put forward an offer in region of £43m to Lyon.

Houssem Aouar has been stunning for his side, having goals and assists to his name and has missed just three Ligue 1 games this campaign.
