Chelsea set to agree release clause to sign €75million world class player

Chelsea can add Erling Haaland to their first-team squad this summer, but on one condition.

The good news is that according to The Transfer Window Podcast, the Borussia Dortmund striker ‘expects’ to join Thomas Tuchel’s side before the 2021/22 Premier League campaign begins.

Furthermore, hosts Ian McGarry and Duncan Castles understand that talks are advancing in the hope of a deal being completed.

However, the sticking point could be that his agent – Mino Raiola – wants a release clause within his Chelsea contract, something that the Blues will have to do if they really want to sign Haaland.

Haaland release clause is between €75 million and €100m to be triggered in summer of 2022.

Meanwhile, Talks have reportedly been ongoing since June and Chelsea are now looking to strike an agreement with Dortmund.

So it would appear that in order for the Blues to sign Haaland this summer, they might have to soften their stance on including a release clause in any potential contract offer.

Let’s see how this deal will end! Chill fans.
