Chelsea set to dump player after what Barcelona president said as Blues transfers saga continues
According to several reports, Chelsea were believed to be leading the race for Leeds United star Raphinha, however, the transfer has taken a new twist.
Meanwhile, Chelsea had previously hijacked the deal from Arsenal, as Leeds accepted a £60m bid from Chelsea.
Chelsea may be forced to abandon their interest in Raphinha with the Brazil international not keen on a move to Stamford Bridge.
Reports claim Raphinha is prepared to wait at least another six months to complete his dream move to Barcelona.
According to latest reports, via ESPN, Raphinha would even prefer to remain at Elland Road in the short term and hope that Barcelona’s financial situation resolves itself once the winter window opens.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona president Joan Laporta has confirmed Raphinha wants to join Barca, and he also confirmed Chelsea’s interest.
