Chelsea target refuses to take part in pre-season preparations after Blues submit £55 million deal
In light of transfer rumors involving the Brazilian star, Chelsea target Raphinha has informed Leeds United that he is unable to take part in preseason training.
According to Marca, Barcelona should have acquired a financial boost in the upcoming days, which will enable them to make a formal offer for the 25-year-old Leeds winger.
Deco has since advised Raphinha to wait for a move by the Spaniards rather than accepting Chelsea’s request, according to Marca, who also notes that Deco was at Barca’s training headquarters last week for meetings with the La Liga club’s top brass.
However, Chelsea are hopeful of completing a £55 million deal to sign Leeds United star Raphinha despite a late move from FC Barcelona.
Raphinha appeared to be headed for Chelsea after The Athletic reported that the Blues were allegedly close to reaching an agreement on a transfer fee with Leeds for the 25-year-old.
All transactions are currently on hold until Barcelona resolves their financial problems because they unexpectedly returned to try and wrestle the winger away from the London club despite the fact that the Brazilian’s chosen destination is the Catalans.
Despite this desire, Raphinha should not reject to practice as Leeds provided the stage for him to impress the supposedly bigger teams. The Brazilian will probably never play again for the team, but the winger should at the very least show up for work.
