Chelsea told to pay £190m for Brazilian wizard
A £190 million price tag has reportedly been placed on Neymar by Ligue 1 powerhouse Paris Saint-Germain amid speculation that he may transfer to Chelsea.
The Brazilian attacker had a difficult season that was complicated by injuries, despite managing to score 13 goals in the previous year.
Even though Neymar’s current contract is scheduled to automatically renew on July 1 through the year 2027, speculation surrounding his future has already started to surface.
After telling reporters that “everyone needs to give their best,” PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi widened the door for a potential exit. If not, they will be forced to depart like those who abused the situation, which will result in sales.
Since then, there have been rumors that the 30-year-old forward may move on, with Serie A powerhouse Juventus apparently in transfer discussions while the Blues are reportedly interested in bringing the former Barcelona front to Stamford Bridge.
Marca claims that in order to pry Neymar away from the Ligue 1 heavyweights and reclaim the majority of the transfer money they spent for the Brazil international, a team would have to spend €220 (£190m).
