Chelsea’s four-players bid rejected as Blues summer transfer continues
Romelu Lukaku’s attempt to leave Chelsea appears to be making progress.
All three sides (Lukaku, Chelsea, and Inter Milan) desire the same thing, but reaching an agreement on a fee for the Belgian has been a long-standing issue.
Lukaku is likely to return to Inter Milan on loan after a £97.5 million move to Stamford Bridge from Inter Milan.
According to reports, Chelsea is willing to take a €10 million (£8.5 million) loan fee from Inter plus add-ons for Lukaku.
Chelsea reportedly looked into bringing in Lautaro Martinez, Denzel Dumfries, Milan Skriniar, or Alessandro Bastoni as part of the Lukaku deal, according to Goal.
Chelsea’s intentions were allegedly’rejected out of hand’ by Inter, who are desperate to keep their key players this summer, according to the source.
Meanwhile, Francesco Totti, a former Roma player, has expressed his amazement at Lukaku’s decision to return to Inter Milan after only a year at Chelsea.
Totti said, “I didn’t expect Lukaku to return, I thought he would’ve chosen a different club.
“It’s a perfectly respectable decision, Inter and Simone Inzaghi will be very happy.
“Physically, Lukaku is a dominant presence in Italy, but I don’t know who his strike partner will be.”
