Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic was teammates with Jadon Sancho before he sealed a £58m move to Chelsea last year.
Pulisic left the United States as a teenager, signing up for Borussia Dortmund as a 16-year-old.
It didn’t take long for the American star to grow up the ranks from the youth squad to the senior, before eventually losing his place to former Manchester City academy product Jadon Sancho.
Pulisic has revealed that he joined Dortmund because they give chances to young players, and also hailed the quality of Jadon Sancho who has also been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge.
“It’s one of the big reasons why I was really drawn there when I was very young,” Pulisic told Sky Sports about his time at Dortmund. “I think they give younger players opportunities and it’s a great club to go and develop.
“He (Sancho) was given an opportunity, just like I was, at a very high level, and they show you right away that they trust you and they’re going to give an equal opportunity to all the players.
“He’s done an amazing job since he came in and has obviously shown what abilities he has.”
