Christian Pulisic was Chelsea’s best player after the restart from the coronavirus break.
The US international scored the most important goal of that period – sinking Man City with a dash from the halfway line, and made plenty of other vital actions as we scrabbled into the Champions League at the last.
His absence has been keenly felt around the club in the early stages of this season, with only Callum Hudson-Odoi around to provide natural width. But we won’t have to survive much longer. Pulisic has already announced that he’s fit and ready to go, and we think this weekend’s match with Crystal Palace could see him return to the starting line up.
That will be a huge boost to Frank Lampard and the whole team. So far we’ve seen various central players used in wide areas, and the natural pace and dribbling of Pulisic should add so much to our attacking threat.
