Club tells Chelsea board ‘an EIGHT-year contract worth £200K a week’ deal will be done as player wants Chelsea move

According to latest reports, West Ham have send a strong message to Chelsea board on their pursuit to sign Declan Rice this summer.

Tuchel loves Delcan rice and the Chelsea boss will be looking forward to get the player this summer.

However, reports claims the Hammers set to keep their midfielder Declan Rice by offering him a new eight-year contract worth £200,000 per week.

According to talkSPORT, the Hammers are in talks with Rice, who has so far turned down three offers from his club. This is the latest attempt to persuade the 23-year-old to sign a contract.

Rice’s current contract has two years left on it, with an option to extend for another year, although West Ham are aware that other teams, including Chelsea and Manchester United, are interested in signing him this summer.

Rice’s manager, David Moyes, is sure he would not sell him during the transfer season, even putting a £150 million price tag on him, but the club is concerned after the England star turned down earlier offers.

Rice’s contract could be extended to ten years if he so desires, according to TalkSPORT, but his management believes he could earn £300-400,000 per week with a bigger club.

West Ham are wagering that no other club would match their £150 million asking price for Rice, making now the ideal time to sign him to a long-term contract.

Rice has been the standout performer for West Ham this season, which saw them reach the Europa League semi-finals before losing to Eintracht Frankfurt.

Rice has established himself as West Ham’s on-field leader, with club captain Mark Noble limited to cameo appearances. Rice’s development has been recognized by several elite teams.

Chelsea is keen to bring back former youth players, albeit the situation may be complex due to the club’s new ownership.
