Chelsea manager Frank Lampard doesn’t seem too keen on Antonio Rudiger at the moment, and the German centre-half is yet to play this season. It was even surprising that Rudiger didn’t feature in the Carabao Cup third round tie against Barnsley and didn’t even make the matchday squad.
With five centre-backs currently in the Chelsea squad, following the signing of Thiago Silva, one may have to leave the squad this season, either on loan or on a permanent deal.
Reports have it that Psg are eyeing up a deal for Blues defender Antonio Rudiger as they consider a loan deal for the 27-year-old.
According to French outlet RMC Sport, Rudiger was the subject of an attempt by Thomas Tuchel’s side to sign his fellow German on “a loan with a view to buy”.
However, the offer was turned down by the Blues. It is believed that Chelsea are open to the sale of Rudiger this summer, and would want a permanent sale rather than a loan deal.
