Confirmed: Chelsea set to announce new club director following Marina Granovskaia exit

Following the exits of Bruce Buck, Marina Granovskaia, and Petr Cech, Chelsea is currently undergoing a comprehensive organizational restructuring. Tom Glick is the first name of the new-looking board and he appears destined to be appointed.

According to Mark Kleinman of Sky News, Glick will take over the “day-to-day” management of Chelsea Football Club, and a formal announcement is anticipated “within days.”

Glick has a wealth of expertise, having served as chief executive of Derby County FC from 2008 to 2012 and as a previous executive at Manchester City.

Whether Glick would hold the position of chief executive at the west London club is believed to “remain unclear.”

His most recent position was as president of the NFL team Carolina Panthers.

I think Todd Boehly, who is a co-owner of Chelsea, made a wise choice in appointing Glick, as he can now benefit from Glick’s expertise gained through playing at the highest level.
