CONFIRMED: Three new Chelsea players set to start against Brighton, with two on bench

Chelsea have been so busy in the transfer market after signing six players so far and still hungry of more.

However, Frank Lampard will not have had long with some of his signings, but will surely use some in the season opening match against Brighton next Monday night.

The Blues have had Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner training with the team extensively, as well as featuring in the preseason game against Brighton last weekend.

But Thiago Silva, Ben Chilwell and now Kai Havertz have all been straight on international duty, and will only have a few days on training with the team before the big kick off against the Seagulla.

We think Lampard will play both Werner and Ziyech, plus Chilwell at left back. If a new goalkeeper has been signed before then, they might feature too, although it’s getting into risky territory now.

But Thiago Silva and Havertz are more likely to be sat on the bench for that opening game, to give them at least a couple more days to settle in to their new team.
