Chelsea have been fourth in the Premier League since last year, and Chelsea’s position in fourth has been shaky for some time now, due to the emergence of Manchester United and even Wolves.
However, after Tuesday’s round of games, Frank Lampard’s side has now moved to third in the league.
Chelsea defeated Crystal Palace 3-2 on Tuesday night, and Leicester City went on to play a 1-1 draw with Arsenal following the Chelsea game.
With four games left to spare, Chelsea are now third in the league and a point above the Foxes. Chelsea have 60 points, while Leicester City have 59 points, with both sides having played 34 league games.
Manchester United are five points behind Chelsea and will play their outstanding game against Aston Villa on Thursday.
