‘Could be our Haaland’ ‘Needs to start’ Chelsea fans excited by prospect of 18 year old getting his senior debut vs Liverpool

Chelsea striker Armando Broja did not feature for the Under 23s last night. The Albanian Under 21 international has been training with Frank Lampard’s first-team squad, along with Tino Anjorin ahead of the FA Cup game against Liverpool this evening.

Fans on Twitter are hoping that it means the 18-year-old will play a part in the game versus the Reds at Stamford Bridge:

Broja has been in very good form this season, having performed well in the FA Youth Cup and UEFA Youth League. However, it is a big step up to senior football.

Lampard is short of options up front, though, with Tammy Abraham injured and Michy Batshuayi having failed to impress in the games he has started in this season.

There is a possibility that Broja could be named on the bench tonight, and there is perhaps even a slight chance of him starting if Lampard opts to rest Olivier Giroud.

@GMACFC: Fear of the unknown – Start Broja why not ?‍♂️
