Kepa: He’d definitely be questioned for allowing a long distant shot from Zaha go past him with ease. 4/10
Reece James: Got into some good positions in attack and had a decent game. Still a work in progress and he’d need to do more defensively. 6/10
Christensen: Had a poor game by his standards. Patrick van Aanholt went past him easily in the lead up to Palace’s second goal. Was very nervy in the second half. 4/10
Zouma: Robust defending and saved Chelsea with a massive sliding tackle late in the game to deny Christian Benteke a stoppage time goal. 6/10
Azpilicueta: Dependable performance from the captain at left-back. Very assured display. 6/10
Gilmour: Good performance in the first half as he controlled the game in what was a dominant start for Chelsea. Couldn’t come to grips with the game after Palace’s first goal. Shaky game in the second half before being subbed off. 6/10
Barkley: Continued his fine form with another good performance in the first half. Looked tired in the second period. 6/10
Mount: Difficult game for the 21-year-old, but a decent game nevertheless. Worked hard and connected well with the forward players. 6/10
Willian: Showed his value to the squad with another fine performance. Played to the whistle and gave a fine assist for the opener. Worked tirelessly for the team and always looked dangerous. Involved in the first two goals for Chelsea. 8/10
