Chelsea have completed deals for Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner, Xavier Mbuyamba, Ben Chilwell, Malang Sarr, Thiago Silva and Kai Havertz, with more expected.
Next up, Rennes goalkeeper Edouard Mendy? Yes, according to Sky Germany reporter Angelo Mangiante.
He believes that “The deal is almost done” for Chelsea to sign the 28-year old Senegalese international for around 20 million euros.
Mendy is the first choice of Chelsea technical director and former goalkeeper Petr Cech, says Mangiante.
Incredibly, Mendy could soon be about to become Chelsea’s 8th signing of the transfer window so far, that really is quite staggering!
As well as that, Declan Rice from West Ham is also still a possibility after Mendy has been confirmed.
This has already been a fantastic window for Chelsea before these two are even considered, but if Chelsea now go and get Mendy and Rice, this will be the best transfer window for any club, ever!
Today negotiations on between #Chelsea and #Rennes for #Mendy. They are very close. Agreement to be reached around €20M.
The deal is almost done. 👍
