According to Daily Mail, Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi is set for a loan return to Crystal Palace.
The Belgian striker was at Selhurst Park for half-a-year during the 2018-19 season and is now expected to re-join Crystal Palace on loan next season.
Before completing his loan deal to Crystal Palace, Batshuayi is expected to sign a one-year extension to his current contract at Stamford Bridge.
Batshuayi’s existing Chelsea deal expires next summer and the additional 12 months will ensure he does not become a free agent once his loan expires.
Batshuayi joined Chelsea for £33m from Marseille in 2016 but has struggled for regular game time. With Timo Werner joining the Blues in addition to forwards Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud already in the squad, Batshuayi is effectively fourth-choice in Frank Lampard’s options up top.
