Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers is growing increasingly resigned to losing Ben Chilwell, Chelsea’s No 1 left-back target, this summer.
While reports claim Chilwell hasn’t yet discussed a Chelsea transfer with Leicester, it is believed the 23 year old England international is open to joining this summer.
Various reports have claimed Leicester City want a record fee for the transfer of Chilwell but it is highly unlikely the Foxes will receive such an amount for their left-back after the impact the coronavirus crisis has had on club’s finances.
According to Daily Mail, Chilwell is likely to cost at least £50 million.
It is expected Leicester City will seek to get as much as they can for the transfer of Chilwell as they did when they sold Harry Maguire to Manchester United last summer.
According to transfermarkt, Chilwell is worth €40 million (£35.6 million).
