According to Daily Mirror, Chelsea are preparing a £55 million bid for Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson.
The Blues are reportedly ready to hand the Manchester United goalkeeper a £170,000-a-week deal if he fails to get the guarantees he is seeking about his future at Manchester United.
Henderson has returned to Manchester United after spending the last two seasons on loan at Sheffield United.
Manchester United are keen on handing him a new and improved long-term contract but the 23 year old goalkeeper is reluctant to sign a new deal at the club unless he gets an assurance from Solskjaer that he will start next season as his first-choice keeper.
Solskjaer is reluctant to promise Henderson he will be first choice next season because he still sees David De Gea as no.1 at Manchester United next season.
Henderson kept 13 clean sheets in 36 games for Sheffield United this season.
