Recent reports claims that, Chelsea target Niklas Sule has turned down the option to continue his stay at Bayern Munich and as such will become a free agent in the summer

However, The defender has been at the club since 2017 after moving to Munich from Hoffenheim, but there has been alot of speculation that Chelsea are very much interested in a potential transfer deal.

With a number of defenders potentially leaving the club at the end of the season, Thomas Tuchel needs to make sure that he brings in the right quality that will fill the boots of the likes of Antonio Rudiger and Cesare Azpilicueta.

It has been reported in the media that Chelsea have already made contact with the agents of Sule ahead of a potential move, and now the26-year-old now looks set to depart following unsuccessful contract talks.

Bayern Munich chairman Oliver Kahn has confirmed Niklas Sule will leave the club when his contract expires this summer,’ a report in the Daily Mail states.

Sule has won four Bundesliga titles, two DFB-Pokals and the Champions League to show for his 158 appearances for the German giants.

Sule is now planning to leave the Allianz Arena on a free transfer after failing to reach an agreement with the club over an extension.

Sule is unlikely to be short of offers this summer, as reports suggest Chelsea, Newcastle and Barcelona are all interested in snapping him up on a free,’ the report continues.

Uwakwe says goodbye to Chelsea after fifteen years

According to latest reports, Versatile Anglo-Nigerian wing-back Tariq Uwakwe has said goodbye to everyone associated with Chelsea after his move to EFL League One club Crewe Alexandra was confirmed on Friday.

Uwakwe is departing the European champions fifteen years after joining the club.

The former England U20 international actually first trained with Chelsea youth team when he was six years old and has been there ever since before his permanent switch to Crewe Alexandra.

He enjoyed a taste of first team football during a loan spell at Accrington Stanley in 2020-2021 but didn’t play much in the second half of the season due to a spate of injuries.

He was a member of the Chelsea U18 squad that won the domestic treble in the 2017-2018 campaign.

Writing on Instagram, Uwakwe said : “After 15 years its time for me to say goodbye to @chelseafc I want to thank everybody at the club for making those years the best experiences of my life, from members of staff to players that Ive grown up with my whole life and met along the way.

“I wish everybody there the best for the future. CFC family”.

Uwakwe’s last game for Chelsea’s development squad was against Manchester City in the Premier League 2 on January 24.
