Chelsea Boss Frank Lampard is desperately looking for the best replacement for Arrizabalaga after the Spanish goalkeeper has conceded 49 goals so far this season and has cost Chelsea alot.
Chelsea have been linked with a move for a goalkeeper during the summer, and the Blues have been linked with Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak, as well as the likes of Dean Henderson and Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana.
Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone has admitted that he’s not surprised about Chelsea’s interest in Atletico goalkeeper.
Asked about the speculation on Wednesday, Simeone said: “It does not surprise me, every year our most important players are wanted by the best in the world.
“It is normal to always look for the best – and we have many. Some have left and others have stayed.
“It is logical and normal that anyone wants Oblak. He is our captain and an important player. I hope we can count on his work, which is enormous for Atleti.”
In other news, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has reportedly lost trust in Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, and is keen on signing a new keeper ahead of next season.
