“Disappointment is normal! Cesar Azpilicueta reveals why he felt sorry for some Chelsea players after Club World Cup victory
The Blues are currently now champions of the world, after Chelsea defeated Palmeiras 2-1 in the final of the FIFA Club World Cup, to win the championship.
However, It’s been an excellent football year for Chelsea, as Thomas Tuchel’s side has cleared everything in Europe, from the Champions League to the Super Cup and now Club World Cup.
Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta set a new Chelsea record following our triumph in the Club World Cup after becoming the first Chelsea player to win all the major trophies in club football with Chelsea.
The 32-year-old admitted that he felt sorry for players who didn’t get to play in the tournament due to injuries or were dropped by the manager. But he insisted that the victory was for everybody.
Cesar said after the game: “I always try to think about the players who couldn’t play, the ones who were injured, the ones on the bench who couldn’t participate, and the ones who were left out of the starting eleven.”

“After that, I think everybody puts their personal situation aside, and we pushed really hard to get the trophy.”
