‘Documents are signed’: Fabrizio Romano says Chelsea are now about to announce another signing ‘very soon’
Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Chelsea are about to announce the signing of Angelo Gabriel.
He told GiveMeSport that all the documents are already signed regarding the transfer, and he is ready to be confirmed by the club.
The addition of Angelo is another sign that the club are sticking to the mantra of bringing in young players with the intention of them becoming the first team stars of the future.
One of the most exciting signings of the last 12 months has been Andrey Santos, who has already been capped at senior level for Brazil.
The midfielder has also given the biggest hint possible that the attacker is on his way to Stamford Bridge, with him stating he is looking forward to seeing him soon.
Chelsea about to announce Angelo
Now, Romano has claimed that everything is in place behind the scenes for the player to be announced as a Blue very soon.
He said: “It’s going to be a six-year deal probably with an option also included for the seventh season, so everything is ready.
“I think Angelo Gabriel is going to be a Chelsea player and announced as a Chelsea player very soon, but all the documents are signed so it’s just a matter of an announcement.”
While the club continue to focus on bringing in stars for the future, there will be some who are worried that this may take the attention off signing players to feature as early as next season.
The efforts are currently on bringing in Moises Caicedo from Brighton, however negotiations have gone on for some time now, leaving many worried that the deal will fail at the final hurdle due to financial issues.
