After making six signings Chelsea are now looking to offload some players either by loan or a permanent deal.
Meanwhile, La Liga club Granada have confirmed the landing of Chelsea winger Kenedy on a season-long loan.
The 24-year-old star will return to Spain for another temporary stint, having spent last season at fellow La Liga outfit Getafe.
This is his fifth loan spell since joining the Blues back in 2015 from Brazilian outfit Fluminese, including his 18-month spell at Newcastle United.
“The Granada CF and Chelsea FC have agreed the transfer of the player Robert Kenedy for a season until June 2021,” the official statement from Diego Martinez’s side reads.
Although it is safe to say the Brazilian is not in Frank Lampard’s plans at Chelsea, sending the star on another loan could backfire in terms of his future sale value, given he only has two years left on his deal at Stamford Bridge.
Thus far, there has been no mention of any obligation or option-to-buy clause in Kenedy’s loan deal, which means Chelsea shouldn’t expect much in terms of transfer fee if they decide to sell the player at the end of his loan spell.
The current transfer climate hasn’t helped Chelsea to trim their squad either, having already made six additions this transfer window including Timo Werner, Ben Chilwell and Kai Havertz.
