“Dreams comes true sometimes” – Chelsea player reveals dream of playing for Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone
Seems we would be seeing another Chelsea player leaving Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.
However, according to Spanish media outlet Marca, Chelsea star Marcos Alonso is a dream signing for Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone.
The report states that Simeone thinks Alonso ‘has it all’, and the Spanish defender could well want to return to La Liga at some point.
There’s definitely no chance of Alonso leaving Chelsea during the January transfer window but the Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone is hopeful he can sign the Chelsea left wing-back during the summer transfer window.
Meanwhile, Alonso believes it’s unfair Chelsea was forced to play when we had several players out due to Covid-19 while Arsenal had their game against Tottenham Hotspur postponed despite having less players affected by Covid-19.
Alonso said: “It’s difficult but I think it should be the same for everyone and all teams treated the same.”
“We had some games with a lot of players out, some games with only four defenders, but we still had to play.
“It has to be fair for everyone to have the same treatment from the Premier League, not just some games yes, some games no.”
