€30m Serie A goalkeeper added to list of potential Kepa replacements

The list of goalkeepers Chelsea are linked with is growing. Burnley stopper Nick Pope was the first to be mentioned, then it was Ajax’s Andre Onana.

The latest name to add to the list is Udinese keeper Juan Musso. The 25-year-old has been in decent form this season, keeping eight-cleansheets, in 24-appearances in Serie A.

The Argentine has conceded 36-goals overall, but that’s better than most clubs in the bottom half of the table. Udinese are struggling in 15th-place.

Their main issue is going forward – having scored only 20-goals, only bottom club Spal have scored less.

Gazzetta dello Sport are reporting Musso is on Chelsea’s radar. The article suggests a bid of around €30m would be enough for the White and Blacks to do business.

The Argentina international moved to Serie A 18-months ago from Racing Club. A move to the premier league would be a big turnaround as only three-years ago he was second choice for his childhood club.

There are bound to be plenty of rumours between now and the summer. Kepa may yet return to Chelsea’s starting line-up, and prove his worth. But for now with him sitting on the sidelines, the speculation will continue.
