‘Either ignorant or arrogant for a club I played for 12 year’ – Chelsea legend blasts club
With just 500 tickets sold to Chelsea fans for the game against Middlesbrough before the sanctions placed on the club, Chelsea fans won’t be able to attend the game in their numbers, thus prompting Chelsea to request that the game be played behind closed doors for sporting integrity.
However, Former Chelsea defender Graeme Le Saux has slammed his former side following the club’s request that the FA Cup clash with Middlesbrough be played behind closed doors.
Le Saux believes Chelsea’s latest move was embarrassing.
“I can’t think of a more embarrassing statement to come out of the club that I played for for 12yrs,” said Le Saux.
“Either ignorant or arrogant.
“I am confident it doesn’t represent the feelings of the coaching and playing staff.”
Surely, Chelsea do not need one of our own criticising the club at a time like this. Chelsea have been kicked against the wall, and one can’t imagine how tough the past few weeks have been.
Graeme Le Saux had two spells at Chelsea, the first was between 1989 and 1993. His second spell was between 1997 and 2003.
