Emerson Palmieri is not going to leave Chelsea in the nearest future, his agent has assured speaking to Tutto Mercato.
The Italy international is steadily winning the competition with Marcos Alonso for the left-back spot.
The Spaniard started the season as an unquestionable first choice, but a string of unconvincing performances made Maurizio Sarri try Emerson.
He has not prospered in every game, either, but was more consistent and in the end, started in the Europa League final against Arsenal and was arguably one of the best on the pitch.
No wonder Leonardo Cornacini, his agent, made his best to dispel rumours of Emerson leaving.
“He still has years on his contract, he is happy and the club are happy to keep him.
“We are sure that his future is in London.”
Earlier, at least two Italian giants, Inter and Milan, have been linked with the player. Despite that, the national side’s manager Roberto Mancini is reluctant to give him a call.
The agent thinks it’s a mistake.
“Everyone watched the final, they saw beautiful football, of the very highest level.
“Today we are confident that Emerson is one of the best in the world.”
The left-back has already rubbished all the rumours himself, as quoted by Goal.
“I’m very happy at Chelsea, and I do not want to go anywhere else.
“I adapted to the league, to the city and I earned my space on the team, now I want to finish well this season, helping to bring a title to this group and our fans.”
