Erling Haaland to Chelsea? As Chelsea board set to make this ‘HUGE’ Timo Werner decision

Chelsea are reportedly preparing a bid for Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland following Timo Werner’s difficulties at Chelsea since joining from RB Leipzig.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard thought he had signed the perfect goal machine for his Chelsea team when we beat the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United to sign Werner but the German international has struggled to impress at Chelsea.

Haaland has found the net 12 times from 11 Bundesliga appearances this season and Chelsea are keen to beat the competition for the Borussia Dortmund striker.

So what happens to Werner if the Blues win the race to sign Haaland from Borussia Dortmund?

According to The Athletic, the Blues are convinced Haaland and Werner can play in the same team and have no plans of selling Werner.

That could involve Werner playing on the left wing, with Haaland then ahead of him in the No 9 role.

Meanwhile, former Aston Villa star Gabriel Agbonlahor said earlier in the season that any club that signs Haaland will win the Premier League.

Agbonlahor told talkSPORT: “He’s the most complete striker out there for me.

“We’re talking about Premier League clubs wanting him; I think Bayern Munich or Real Madrid are the favourites to get him.

“I feel like Borussia Dortmund can ask for whatever they want. If you’re talking about £100million for Sancho, you’re talking £180m for Haaland.

“You’re talking ridiculous money. He’ll be the most expensive player ever when he leaves Dortmund because he’s getting better.

“He’s learning, he looks hungry. He’s not happy just to be at Dortmund and score goals, he’s trying to improve his game and he’s going to get better and better.

“You look at the Premier League teams that could do with him now; Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, they could all do with him.

“What would he do for any of those clubs now? If they had him in January, whoever signed him would win the league.”
