‘Everyone’s useless without him’- Chelsea fans believe absence of ‘One Key’ player has caused Form Dip

Chelsea lost their second league game in a row after a disappointing 2-1 defeat Wolves last night. It comes quickly off the back of another poor display in the 1-0 loss to Everton at the weekend.

Some supporters on Twitter have been searching for answers as to why the Blues’ form has dipped so alarmingly in recent games and some have come to the conclusion that Hakim Ziyech’s absence could be playing a key role:

As some fans have pointed, relying on the creativity of one player, considering the amount that was spent over the summer, doesn’t reflect well on Chelsea’s summer signings, who cost in excess of £200m.

With Ziyech absent, the baton should really have been picked up by the likes of Kai Havertz but, unfortunately, the 21-year-old has yet to spring to life since his £72m switch from Bayer Leverkusen.

Manager Frank Lampard has said that both Ziyech and Callum Hudson-Odoi could return to training this week and that will be a boost if they are available for the West Ham game on Monday evening.

@xcamcook100:  Surely this is very worrying that we have to rely on individual quality rather than an actual game plan?
@HavertzHive: So what you’re saying is… we gave Lampard everything he wanted and he’s a manager who relies on one player? Poch or Nagelsmann needed ASAP.
@mattrk2310: without him, we lack creativity from deep and a killer pass. Especially when Havertz is not performing like we thought he would.
kjelling_: When’s ziyech coming back man I can’t stand this anymore
