The club was unable to sell their entire 4,500 ticket allocation for Saturday’s FA Cup quarter-final at Middlesbrough.
This is due to the sanctions placed on Chelsea,
However, about 700 supporters who had got their tickets before the sanctions were imposed, were present at the FA Cup quarter-final clash at the Riverside Stadium.
Now, An FA spokesperson has admitted that they are working hard to ensure a sell-out crowd at both semi-final games at Wembley.
The Football Association (FA) says there have been talks with the government on amendments to the club’s operating licence.
“This includes tickets for Chelsea supporters for their match against Crystal Palace,” the spokesperson added. “We are working with the government on a method to achieve this whilst respecting the sanctions that are currently in place on Chelsea.”
