Fabrizio confirms! Chelsea ‘working’ on deal that would see Brazilian make five-year Stamford Bridge move
According to fresh reports claimed that Chelsea have made an approach to Leeds about a possible transfer deal for Raphinha
The Brazil international is likely to be one of the most in-demand players in world football this coming summer – when he will only have two years left on his contract – and is wanted by a host of clubs.
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is a massive fan of the player and there was even some talk in the media that Chelsea were eyeing up a deal during the January window, but eventually opted against making a move
However, there has been some reports in the media that Chelsea were ready to battle Barcelona in the summer to try and win the race to complete a deal for Raphinha.
Now, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea were working on a deal to bring the Brazilian to the club this summer.
Leeds are currently in a relegation dogfight, and could find themselves out of the Premier League by the summer. This would see the talented winger look for a move – one that his play has deserved.
Now in the Brazilian national team, Raphinha has scored nine goals and added two assists for the West Yorkshire side this season – with Liverpool also reportedly vying for his signature.
Chelsea did not spend in the January window and that was a shock, but come the summer, it could be special players like Raphinha that make a move to the Bridge.
