German star Kai Havertz is keen on joining Chelsea and have reportedly told Bayer Leverkusen he wants to leave for Stamford Bridge this summer.
However, The 21-year-old is now Chelsea’s top target this summer following the arrivals of Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner, with a £90m move reportedly in the pipelines.
According to Bayer Leverkusen director Rudi Voller, Havertz will not leave Bayer Leverkusen before their Europa League journey comes to an end next month.
Leverkusen take a 3-1 lead into their Europa League last-16 second-leg against Rangers on August 6 and Bayer Leverkusen insists the midfielder will be available for the remainder of their Europa League games in August.
When asked whether Havertz would be available [to join Chelsea], Voller told German outlet Kicker: “It is set in stone. There is no new stance.”
