Finally revealed! One player that cause Tuchel’s sacking as Todd Boehly warned him
Nearly a week has passed since Todd Boehly fired Thomas Tuchel.
Last Wednesday, Tuchel was fired the morning after Chelsea’s 1-0 loss to Dinamo Zagreb.
No one had anticipated the sack’s arrival because the new owners had kept it a secret. Even Thomas Tuchel failed to anticipate it.
Billy Gilmour was the only person who could have known, though. The teenage midfielder was eager to leave Chelsea after Thomas Tuchel cut him off.
Gilmour was persuaded to stay at Stamford Bridge by Todd Boehly, and the Chelsea board was hesitant to approve Gilmour’s departure.
Todd Boehly attempted to convince Gilmour to remain at Stamford Bridge, and the Chelsea board were reluctant to sanction Gilmour’s departure.
According to The Athletic, Todd Boehly had urged Gilmour to wait for his opportunity and also implied the situation could soon change.
Gilmour, who was keen to play under Graham Potter, eventually sealed a deadline day transfer to Brighton.
On his unveiling, Gilmour spoke highly of Graham Potter after joining the Seagulls and revealed how much he wanted to play under the Englishman.
Potter would join Chelsea just one week later, and Gilmour is now said to be disappointed with the decision to leave Stamford Bridge.
