Flop forward returns to Chelsea but remains on transfer list

According to reports this week, Chelsea attacker Lucas Piazon is switching clubs once again.

Italian media outlet Tutto Mercato Web is the one bringing the news reporting the player is being called back from his loan stint at Rio Ave.

They say that following a positive experience at the Portuguese club, he should now spend the rest of the campaign somewhere else.

The outlet names three teams who could land the 26-year-old Brazilian star: Bordeaux, Stoke City and Norwich City.

The report does not bring any more details, not saying if any of these outfits is ahead of the others, or if the transfer will be a permanent or a loan move.

The South American, whose contract with Chelsea expires in 2022. made 12 appearances for Rio Ave this term, with two goals and one assist.

This was his seventh loan stint since joining Chelsea in 2012, as he has already had loans at Fulham, Reading, Eintracht Frankfurt, Vitesse, Chievo and Malaga.

With his previous spells in the EFL Championship, perhaps Stoke City and Norwich City could be interesting destinations for the player, as signing for Bordeaux in the Ligue 1 would be a completely new experience.

Meanwhile, Chelsea have allegedly been told how much it will cost to seal a deal for Strasbourg youngster Mohamed Simakan.

Having spent big during the summer transfer market, the west Londoners are likely to focus their attention on reducing their roster in January.

However, according to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, the Blues are keeping tabs on possible additions for the future.

He says that Strasbourg have informed the Premier League giants that they want £18 million if they are to agree to sell Mohamed.
