“For many years I was fighting to sign him but was not possible” – Tuchel finally reveals he tried to sign player
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has finally revealed he previously tried to sign Saul Niguez while he was manager of French club Paris Saint-Germain.
Saul completed a deadline day loan move to Chelsea from Atletico Madrid with the Blues having an option to make the move permanent.
The 26 year old Spanish midfielder had been linked to Paris Saint-Germain in the past while Tuchel was manager of the French side.
Speaking about Saul, Tuchel said: “Saul was on the radar for Chelsea for many years. I was fighting for him at other clubs but it wasn’t impossible.”
