Former Man United striker marked for EPL return with Chelsea
Chelsea are reported to be making moved to bring in former Man United striker Romelu Lukaku to the club from Inter Milan in the summer.
After leaving the Red Devils, the Belgium international became a major force in the Serie A with several top clubs now being attracted to him. The long list of Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and Barcelona are all reported to be interested in the signature of Romelu Lukaku.
Romelu Lukaku boasts of 37 goals for Inter Milan in 54 appearances across all competitions which gives him the rating as one of the best attackers in Europe, forgetting his difficult spell with Man United.
It would be recalled that Romelu Lukaku was at Chelsea when he was much younger before he left to later join Man United. Having his presence again at Stamford Bridge will help manager Frank Lampard to meet the target of winning a title this season and securing qualification to the Champions League with a top-four finish.
However, Chelsea will have to fight for the signature of Romelu Lukaku if they must land him as he is also wanted in Spain and the German Bundesliga but with the options available in Frank Lampard’s team, they might not have to worry about signing the star forward.
Reports claim that Roman Abramovich will not invest in signing an attacker or a midfielder in the next few transfer windows because he wants to protect those currently at the club after falling in love with them and having faith in them.
Chelsea have been unbeaten in several games across all competitions which has made pundits and former players belief that they can challenge for the Premier League title this season.
Frank Lampard has made it clear that he does not want to be carried away with the successes so far and will rather continue on improving his team.
