France President message to Kante after UCL victory, as Chelsea player finally agrees 2year deal with Italian club
Emmanuel Macron, the President of France, has praised Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante after a successful season with the Blues.
Kante’s name has been catapulted into the discussions for the Ballon d’Or, which is awarded by France Football and Macron admitted he hopes Kante wins the award.
He said: “When you see the journey of N’Golo Kanté this season with his club (Chelsea), what he will bring for us I am sure, in this competition (Euro 2020). I hope he gets the Ballon D’Or.”
Chelsea player finally agrees personal terms with Italian club
According to Italian media outlet Calciomercato, Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud has reached an agreement with AC Milan ahead of a potential move to the San Siro this summer.
The 34 year old striker has reportedly agreed terms with the Rossoneri over a two-year deal worth €4M.
However, AC Milan will reportedly only go ahead with the signing if Giroud is available to be signed on a free transfer, which following the extension of his contract, is of course not the case.
The report claims Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia gave Giroud her word that he would be allowed to leave Chelsea on a free transfer this summer should he be moving to a foreign club, rather than a Premier League rival.
