Frank Lampard confirms to have key player back in the squad for Rennes clash
Chelsea midfielder Kai Havertz has missed Chelsea’s last three games but Chelsea boss Frank Lampard hopes to have the German international fit for Chelsea’s Champions League game against Rennes.
Havertz has been in isolation due to testing positive for COVID-19 but returned to training last week ahead of the game against Newcastle United.
“I hope he is available,” said Lampard to reporters.
“He’s been in for a few days now doing some individual work and he’s looked pretty good.
“Kai is a naturally fit boy so I hope to have him travelling with us to Rennes and maybe he’ll get some minutes.
“I’m not sure exactly how many because it was a two-week isolation but he looks in good shape.”
