Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has delivered a significant transfer blow on Premier League rivals Manchester United after he said that midfielder N’Golo Kante won’t leave the club this summer.
Frank Lampard was asked about Kante and the transfer reports linking him with a move away from the club with teams like Manchester United and Inter Milan said to be interested in him.
In his response, Frank Lampard told BBC Radio 5 that any club would want Kante in their team before adding that the former Caen and Leicester City star is not for sale.
Recent reports had claimed that Chelsea are looking to raise funds from player sales after the club splashed £250m on transfers in this window alone.
It was also revealed that any club interested in Kante will have to pay £60m for him with West Ham United player Declan Rice lined up as a replacement for him.
N’Golo Kante signed for the Blues in a £32m deal in 2016 and he has been a key player for the club until last season when niggling injuries got the better of him. He was restricted to 22 Premier League outings as Chelsea finished in fourth place at the end of the season.
