Frank Lampard gives update on Hudson-Odoi Injury

Frank Lampard has provided an update on the conditions of the injured players at Chelsea.

The boss revealed that both Willian and Antonio Rudiger are ‘getting closer’ to full match fitness. There’s a chance they will be in contention for the starting XI against Leicester on Sunday.

On defender Reece James, Lampard said that the youngster is a ‘big player’ who wants to be back. According to the latest updates, the right-back will resume full training schedule next week.

Looking forward to the next game:

Concerning Callum Hudson-Odoi, Chelsea boss will not rush his recovery process. Lampard not only wants CHO to heal completely – the boss also demands a higher degree of fitness before Odoi is included in the team.

Lampard said on Hudson-Odoi: “He is getting closer, he trained in the last few weeks with the U23s and he is looking good. There is a conditioning period. He has to be fitter than he has ever been, as I want him to run.”
