Frank Lampard ready to listen to offers for £45,000-a-week defender

Inter Milan and Juventus are reportedly interested in signing Chelsea defender Emerson Palmieri. The 25-year-old defender has featured in 18 games under Frank Lampard this campaign so far, providing an assist in a Champions League game with Lille.

Bianconeri and Nerazzurri are both interested in signing Palmieri and are preparing bids of €30m for him. This report also states that Emerson is not happy with Frank Lampard’s management style.

Italy international has played 52 games for the Blues since joining them from Roma, scoring a goal with Liverpool last campaign while providing five assists.

A transfer to Inter Milan looks a relatively better option for the defender than to Juventus as he would get more game time with the Nerazzurri.

Provided Frank Lampard keeps giving more first-team chances to Reece James at right-back, there’s a good opportunity Cesar Azpilicueta would be used at left-back. Hence, it might be good for Emerson Palmieri to get a move away from the London club.

Chelsea signed Mateo Kovacic from Real Madrid and Christian Pulisic from Borussia Dortmund recently. London club also added Hakim Ziyech from Ajax during the winter transfer window.
