“Good enough to play for Chelsea” – Paul Merson reveals Brazilian star can replace Ziyech at Chelsea
According to latest reports, Arsenal legend Paul Merson believes Leeds United star Raphinha is good enough to play for Chelsea.
However, the Brazilian winger has scored three goals in seven appearances for Leeds United this season and is seen by many as perfect replacement for Hakim Ziyech who has had a difficult spell at Chelsea since joining from Ajax.
“Raphinha could play for anybody you want to name and I’d include the likes of Man City and Chelsea in that,” Merson told Daily Star.
Raphinha has impressed since joining Leeds United from Rennes last October and played a key role in their ninth-place finish last season.
On Friday, Raphinha made his Brazil debut, coming on as a half-time substitute and grabbed two assists to help his side to a 3-1 win over Venezuela.
