GOOD NEWS: 7 Blues player who would be back from Injury when Premier League resumes

The Premier League has been suspended until April 4 due to the coronavirus outbreak.
However, Chelsea have a number of important players who could recover from their injuries by that time.

Players who should definitely be in the squad

Mason Mount: Against Everton, Mason Mount was subbed off 60 minutes into the game due to a minor injury. The midfielder claimed he took a little knock in the back of his knee and the substitution was just a precaution.

Mateo Kovacic: Mateo Kovacic missed the Everton game after picking up an Achilles injury in the cup battle against Liverpool. The Croat’s issue is not expected to be something that could keep such a warrior on the sidelines for too long.

Andreas Christensen: Andreas Christensen was not in the squad for the Liverpool game. The centre-back was named in the squad for the Everton clash despite a minor issue. However, it came too early for him to take part. The Dane was in contention to come back against Aston Villa before the fixture was postponed.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek: Ruben Loftus-Cheek has had certain problems recovering from an Achilles injury picked up at the end of the previous campaign. However, the midfielder completed the whole 90 minutes in the U23s’ win over Everton and should be ready for the long-awaited first-team comeback.

Players who will most likely be back to the squad

Tammy Abraham: After appearing as a sub against Tottenham and Bayern, Tammy Abraham had to miss 3 games in a row with an ankle issue. The Englishman is expected to be fully fit before the end of the month.

Christian Pulisic: Christian Pulisic has missed Chelsea’s last 12 games due to an adductor injury. Although the issue is a tricky one, Frank Lampard and the American himself are quite confident that the attacker will finally recover by the end of March.

N’Golo Kante: N’Golo Kante has been also struggling with an adductor issue. The Frenchman has missed 5 games in a row and he is not expected to be sidelined for another one.
