Chelsea have already signed one Ajax player who will be arriving this summer in the shape of Hakim Ziyech, and they could be tempted by a couple more.
The clubs chief executive Edwin van der Sar has confirmed that three more of their players will be allowed to leave this summer after agreements with them. We already know of Chelsea’s interest in one of them, goalkeeper Andre Onana, as per Goal.
But Blues boss Frank Lampard may well be tempted by the two other players who are available, left back Nicolás Tagliafico and midfielder Donny van de Beek.
As per Reuters, van der Sar said:
“Last year, we made verbal agreements with Onana, Tagliafico, Van de Beek to stay another season and then we look to help each other and find the next step in their careers. Nothing has changed.”
Chelsea are likely to need a new left back this summer with the futures of both Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri up in the air, so they could look at Tagliafico for that area.
And van de Beek is a Dutch international and has been a regular for Ajax over recent seasons, and is now attracting interest from some of Europe’s top sides.
