Graham Potter keen on signing these three top players as Club director slams Todd Boehly

According to Fichajes via Goal, the incoming Chelsea manager Graham Potter wants to add three new players to his side over the course of the upcoming two transfer windows.

Potter intends to sign Moises Caicedo and Leandro Trossard from Brighton by raiding his former team. Additionally, Potter reportedly wants to sign Cristiano Ronaldo of Manchester United. All three players’ current contracts expire in the summer of 2023.

On Thursday, Potter was named Chelsea’s manager, just one day after Thomas Tuchel was fired.

On making the move to Stamford Bridge, Potter said: “I am incredibly proud and excited to represent Chelsea FC, this fantastic football club.

“I am very excited to partner with Chelsea’s new ownership group and look forward to meeting and working with the exciting group of players and to develop a team and culture that our amazing fans can be proud of.

“I would also like to place my sincere thanks to Brighton & Hove Albion for allowing me this opportunity and in particular Tony Bloom and all the players, staff and supporters for their continued support during my time at the club.”

Club director slams Todd Boehly

Mainz sporting director Christian Heidel has slammed Chelsea’s decision to sack Thomas Tuchel.

The new Chelsea owners decided to sack Thomas Tuchel just seven games into the season for Chelsea.

According to Heidel, Todd Boehly doesn’t know what he’s doing, as he claims the decision wasn’t a football decision.

Hiedel told BILD: “With Thomas it came out of the blue.”

“The sacking is grist to the mill of those who are against investors in football. It was purely an investor’s decision.

“Someone who has no idea about football probably thought that sixth place wasn’t good enough for him and said, ‘then let’s try another coach.’

“After only six games, I can’t think of any other reason. But Chelsea will bitterly regret this decision – they won’t get such a good coach again so quickly.”
