“He got them out of jail” – Peter Crouch reacted to Chelsea’s 3-3 draw against Zenit

It was the second time in four days the Blues have conceded three goals following the 3-2 defeat at West Ham on Saturday.

However, The Blues finished second in group H behind Juventus following the 3-3 draw at Zenit on Wednesday night.

Just like we did against West Ham, the Blues led twice but couldn’t hold on to the lead as Zenit scored a stoppage time goal to deny the Blues victory in Russia.

Former Liverpool striker Peter Crouch gave his verdict on Chelsea’s performance against Zenit.

“t’s disappointing because he made some changes but I thought they were far too open. Crouch told BT Sport.

“I thought they got away with it really; Werner got them out of jail. Zenit got what they deserved.”
