“He has 36 legs and six lungs, he’s to good“ – Chelsea player hails as best player on the pitch
According to Belgium and Borussia Dortmund midfielder Axel Witsel joked Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante has ‘six lungs and 36 legs’ ahead of Belgium’s clash with France on Thursday night.
According to Witsel, his job will be easier without the tireless Kante on the pitch.
Kante has been out of action since last month after testing positive for coronavirus soon after recovering from injury – and was not named in Didier Deschamps’ squad.
When asked about France’s quality, Witsel said: “Karim Benzema is really more than a top level player. He’s really tough.
“They have several (top players)… Kylian Mbappe, Antoine Griezmann, too.
“N’Golo Kante is not playing. That’s good because this guy six lungs and 36 legs!”
Despite being without Kante, France came from 2-0 down to beat Belgium 3-2 in the Nations League semi-final.
