‘He ‘loves’ Chelsea’ – Fabrizio Romano confirms player has open contract talks with Chelsea
Some player’s contract at Chelsea ends at the end of the season and Chelsea will be looking forward to renew some of the contracts.
However, reliable transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that, Thiago Silva is ‘open to talk with Chelsea’ over a new one-year deal.
The centre-back’s contract expires at the end of this season but Chelsea want to keep him on board for one more year.
As per Romano’s report, Silva ‘loves the club, fans, the atmosphere in the dressing room’ and he shares a ‘great relationship’ with Thomas Tuchel.
Negotiations over a new 1-year deal will start soon, Romano confirms.
Silva has played 14 games for the Blues this season and while he will be 38 next year, age seems to not matter for the defender who is playing as well as he used to a decade ago.
